Why pregnant women need yoga?

Pregnancy. You now share its existence with emerging, a little man who is completely dependent on you. It is now possible to carry your baby in the comfort and purposefully to improve their physical condition. Teaching

yoga to expectant moms, I have identified interesting changes in their body.

With increasing pressure of the fetus in the uterus increases, this is especially noticeable starting from the second trimester of pregnancy. Due to twisting, stretching and relaxation exercises of yoga, the uterus is stretched faster and rapidly growing bump doesn’t bother mom. During pregnancy in the muscular layer develops new muscle fibers; each fiber is increased in length by 10 times, and in width by 4 times, yoga exercises help to improve blood circulation and mobility in the growing muscles.

Pregnancy imposes greater demands on the cardiovascular system. Under the influence of pituitary hormones may increase blood (arterial) pressure, inverted asanas, the alternation of tension and relaxation helps to normalize blood pressure.

In the second half of pregnancy uncomfortable postures, sleeping on your back can lead to compression of the uterus the inferior Vena cava, causing varicose veins of small pelvis and lower limbs, so changing positions of the body during yoga, inverted asanas contribute to the prevention of this disease.

In the later stages of pregnancy, inverted postures and abrupt change body positions will help to turn the fetus into a cephalic presentation.

With the growth of the uterus increases the load on the spine, in this period the body is especially in need of poses that will help to relax the lumbar and thoracic spine. Great attention should be paid to the stretch of the hips and increased mobility of the pelvic bones, to facilitate parturition.

Hormonal changes and the pressure of the growing fetus impairs the motility of the biliary tract and intestine, twisted asanas, the various movements of the pelvis can help the body cope harmoniously with the changes.

Meditation practices will help to normalize the emotional state especially in the 1st trimester of pregnancy, when the psyche of the woman due to hormonal changes, becomes less stable.

Yoga is not a panacea for all diseases, and is the only prevention to their appearance. If you have never practiced yoga, during pregnancy should refrain from self-study and not to do if you have contraindications physician.
